Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger.The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative. Jim Corbett who played a key role in its establishment. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Spans over an extent of 520 square kilometers, its whole area comprises of hills, marshy depressions, riverine belts, grasslands and large lake. 

Dehradun

Dehradun or Dehra Dun is the capital city of Uttarakhand, a state in the northern part of India. The name Dehradun is a collection of two words "dera" meaning camp and " dun" meaning valley.Dehradun is situated at an altitude of 1400 ft in the Doon Valley between two of the most important rivers in India, the Ganga and Yamuna. Dehradun is the popular hill stations like Nainital, Mussoorie etc in India.  The city receives high amounts of rain during the monsoon season and get really cold during the winters.

Gangotri

Gangotri is a town in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and origin of River Ganges. According to popular Hindu legend, it was here that Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair.
Places to visit near the Gangotri Temple
  • Bhagirath Shila is believed to be the holy rock where King Bhagirath prayed to Lord Shiva.
Pandava Gufa, located 1.5 km from Gangotri, is the place where the Pandavas are believed to have meditated and rested en route Kailash. Pilgrims will have to trek up to the Pandava Gufa.

Bhimtal

Bhimtal is a town and a nagar panchayat in Nainital district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Bhimtal is a lake city named after Bhima the charismatic mythological character of mahabharata The major attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal Lake, which has an island at its centre. 

Almora

Almora is a town in the Almora district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Almora is located on a ridge at the southern edge of the Kumaon Hills of the Himalaya range, at a distance of 365 km from the national capital New Delhi and 415 km from the state capital Dehradun.

केतली की चाय

केतली की चाय :- कितलु मा चाय केक -केक पिं ।ऐसी होती थी केतली की चाय -----कभी जब में और आप छोटे हुआ करते थे तो अक्सर गावों में जाते थे उस समय गैस की सुविधा तो हुआ नही करती थी तो केतली में जो चाय बनती थी वो चूल्हे में बनती थी । लेकिन यकीन मानिए जब वो चाय बड़े से गिलास में जाती थी और जब हमारे मुह में .......आह आह......क्या स्वाद होता था उस चाय का । एक अलग ही खु सबू , एक अलग ही एहसास आप कितनी भी दूरी पैदल चल कर क्यों ना आये हो लेकिन उस चाय की चुस्कियां लेते -लेते में और आप अपनी थकान भूल जाते थे ।केतली में बनी हुई चाय का स्वाद ही अनोखा होता था लेकिन अब इस स्वाद का रंग भी फीका हो गया ...पसन्द आये तो जरूर बताइयेगा और शेयर अवश्य करे ताकि हमारी संस्कृति ,हमारी विरासत लोगो तक पहुंच सके ।
